It is time to leave

Summary:
Riding on the beach Alfredo and Amy had a nice and fluent conversation, never run out of topics and lost the conscience of time. Amy knew that the time to return to her hometown was near and Alfredo knew that too and he seemed pretty upset about it. They decided to leave the horses in a specific place and keep the track but this time walking. Alfredo hold Amy's hand and she felt thousands of butterflies inside her belly. Amy then felt the need to kiss Alfredo and suddenly she kissed him and he kissed her back. There was love in the air. There were a lot of smiles of hugs and looks. Suddenly Alfredo's sisters appeared riding horses and told them it was time to go back. The next day Amy had to leave and go straight to the airport to return to her hometown. Alfredo felt sadness. Amy knew that they could not be together with all the distance going on, but indeed it was a summer to remember. A month later Amy and Alfredo still talked and keep in touch, but a guy from Amy's past came, his name was Ty.

With this quote I was able to see the love between Amy and Alfredo and how all this time they have been feeling this way towards each other. Since is the end of the book and Amy mentioned how distance will complicate things I connect that with real situations and couples.

With this quote I was able to finally realize the adventure and summer was completely over. Al tough it was a good summer in which Amy surely learn a lot about horses, family and love. Hopefully Amy and Alfredo will be able to meet again.

Final Thoughts 

It is not exactly what I expected about Heartland, I expected more drama and action because those are the kind of books that I like. I recommend this book to horses lovers and those who love polo. I did learn a lot about horses and the polo game and I did enjoy the fact about Amy's character and what she does with the horses and how she helps them. I am sure is an amazing feeling being able to help them and work with them. Heartland series is all about many cases of horses and not only about horses but people as well. It is pretty interesting to learn about this especially because it is new to me. I have never met a horse who has been having such issues and traumas or neither know about polo games. Finally Heartland is a good book especially if you like horses and drama.

Work with Impala

Summary
Now that everything is wrong with Impala Amy really needs to go deep on the case with her and she decided that until she figure what is wrong with her then Impala is not allowed to go back to the field. But that was not the only thing that worry Amy, she was also worried about Alfredo and how he must feel about the tragedy that happened during the polo game. The next day there was such an enormous argument with Impalas coaches, trainers, doctors and mostly with the Escobars but for some reason in that argument Alfredo was not involved, Amy went to look for him and found him with Impala. After what just happened Amy could not understand why would he want to be with her.  Alfredo told Amy that she is not only the horse that he runs in the polo matchs but also the horse that he watched growth that he raised and took care of,  right now what matters is not him or his polo place on the team but what is wrong with her. Although that was what worried the Escobars Amy could see Alfredo's pure heart. Amy really wanted to help Impala so one night she decided to see all night her behavior along the other horses and she discovere that it was not bullying what affect her so the next day she decided to check her behavior along trainers. Impala always got away from an specific trainer and that trainer was always present on the polo games. She had now a new theory. One week later they started to train for another match of the polo games and Amy asked the trainer to please go away and there was improvement! Alfonso could not be happier! And ask Amy for a ride on the beach, again. Amy really felt happy because she had strong feelings towards Alfredo and it seemed pretty obvious that Alfredo was well.

This quote tells a lot about Alfredo's personality and also a really important matter in life that human beings and animals share which is love. When you have a pet and grow with that pet you start to love them and care for them, make them part of the family. That is what Alfredo is feeling towards Impala, right now he is not being selfish because of his spot on the team he is being selfless and being sweet and carry for Impala.

"I figured what is wrong with Impala!" Amy claimed. "She seems to have been feeling uncomfortable  with the presence of Mariana, as long as Mariana is on the fields with her then Impala will keep freaking out."..."She has alaways been mean to the horses, but a good trainer. Now everything makes sense..."

Amy finally has figured what is wrong with Impala. I can infer and make sure that the Escobars are completely greatful to Amy. I connect this situation with a lot of cases that take
place in our daily lives about people mistreating their animals.

Final Thoughts

Finally now the problem about Impala is being solved. But why couldn't the Escobars find about earlier, I can infer that they have been so focus on the fields and winning the games that they have. It observed the actual trainers or the horses behaviors outside the fields and only when the problem is in its highest point they notice it. Since I am getting closer to the end of the book I predict that there is still a mystery to solve and that involves Alfredo and Amy and the relationship they have and how before Amy leaves they need to solve it and took the relationship to the next level.

Looking After Impala

Summary
The dinner was nice and involved a great conversation. The next day Amy started to wonder about Alfredo's mom and how she has not seen a single picture of her in the house. One day Papa (Alfredo's father) and Alfredo's father went to check on a horse without Alfredo, he felt a lot of disappointing Alfredo was really sad and worried about why his father and brother didn't tell him anything about the new horse. Amy helped him and calmed him down, she made him see the situation from a different perspective and Alfredo was really thankful at Amy. Alfredo's relatives and all those who were close to him wanted to know more about Amy and her job and thought it was fascinating how she worked and help those horses. The Escobar's invited Amy for a friendly polo game and she will be one of the players. She was new at this and try to do well but it was more funny because it was her first time. Amy then went to see Impala and talked to her coaches, trainers and owners. While discussing what might be wrong they come up with the idea about Impala being bullied by the other horses and that is what is due to her behavior but for Papa it was not convincing at all. One day Amy wanted to explore the beach and decide she wanted to go out riding by herself and suddenly Alfredo went with her and surprise her and continue the ride together. The next day  Alfredo had a polo game and decide to ride Impala to see if there was any improvement but she again freak out.

This quote reflects Amy's work and what is her concept about the horses and her work. It is pretty amazing helping those who need it and even better if you are able to help them no matter if it is an animal or a person is really an amazing feeling. Most importantly Amy developed love towards them, towards her work and what she does.

Impala's case is getting worst and worst and it seems to be no logical answer to what is wrong with her. They need to go deeper on the case. And because of Impala's behavior it seems that now Alfredo's spot on the team is completely vulnerable. Now there is not a reasonable explanation to why Impala is behaving like that.

Final Thoughts
Finally now the suspense about Impala's case is rising and rising even more, and this does not only affects Impala but also Alfredo and his spot of the team. But there is not only suspense about that but also Amy's and Alfredo's situation and it is obvious that they like each other but will that lead anywhere? I predict that something really impacting about Impala, Amy will be about to discover and that may cause the end for Alfredo in the team. Also I predict that something WILL happen between Amy and Alfredo but I don't think it will last because of her work and his work.

Heartland, A Summer to Remember by Lauren Brooke

Summary

Amy is a girl who works at her family farm called Heartland, a farm where their main purpose is horses. Amy works with horses who may have a strange behavior, may be violent or have some type of trauma from the past. She cures them and makes them feel once again confortable in their environment and get over any problem they may have. A friend from her past named Alfredo Escobar ask Amy for her help because his horse named Impala started to behave differently and ask Amy to go to his hometown in The Hamptons to help Impala. She was really excited because now Amy was a teacher who taught her students how to treat a horse and help them. It was summer and she could not waste this opportunity to treat a horse and mostly see her friend Alfredo. Once she arrived a limousine picked her up from the airport and took her to a huge mansion where Ellen, the housekeeper received her. Amy was completely shock of the wealthy place she found herself in and then Alfredo came and gave her a warm welcome. Amy forgot about how handsome Alfredo is. Amy then met Alfredo’s father and she was a little surprise with his unwelcome attitude. Then Alfredo told Amy about how the Escobars polo seasons and their wealth then he show Amy Impala, she was a beautiful horse, nothing look wrong but still Amy needed time to know her and take a look at her to see exactly what was wrong. She took a ride with Impala and Alfredo and still she saw nothing wrong. Then Amy met Susannah, Alfredo’s stepmother and his two sisters. Amy was really looking forward to her summer in the Hamptons and to get to spend time with Impala and Alfredo her friend Soraya did remember how good looking was Alfredo and hope Amy and him had a summer love but Amy wasn't really sure about it. Although she may had thought about it…

By this quote I am able to figure how worried Alfredo is about Impala and how she wants Amy to help her because she is a good horse. Amy can also figure that she does have a problem and needs more time to get to know her and know what is wrong with Impala. I can also infer that maybe if Impala is okay in her normal environment then it may be only in the polo fields and that could lead to a possible information that could be a trauma from the past. 

“As she switched off the light, she wondered in Alfredo would notice her outfit. She knew her visit was all about Impala, but she couldn't help hoping that Alfredo's dark eyes would light up when she walked into the room.”

By this quote I am able to infer about Amy's feelings towards Alfredo and how she does think about how Alfredo and her may have a possible romance. But what if Alfredo has already a girlfriend? And if he does not, what if Alfredo does notice Amy, are they going to be able to notice Impala before she gets worse?

Final Thoughts

Finally so far the book “Heartland, A Summer to Remember” has been really interesting and I really do wonder what may happen next most importantly about what is wrong with Impala and what will happen between Alfredo and Amy. I also believe that further conflict will rise with Alfredo's father and Amy because of social classes and how Amy is only an ordinary girl while Alfredo is a wealthy little rich boy and his father would want Alfredo to be with a first class girl not Amy. 

Not Only Hosts, But Friends

Summary 

The hosts just came up with a new plan to stop the Overtakers, they wanted to keep a close watch in the Hunted House and The Pirates of the Caribbean, because they were sure that ghosts and pirates will be with the Overtakers. It was Halloween season and in Magic Kingdom there was going to be a huge costume party which they decided they will go as normal kids, not holograms and of course with their costumes. They thought that it was going to be the perfect opportunity for the Overtakers to disguise and not be notice, especially Maleficent. Once in the party, all the hosts with their costumes Finn suddenly found Jez and she was dressed as a witch he remembered what Amanda told him about her and what she suspected about her. Jez had this weird attitude and Finn started to worry about it, she has range abilities, she could catch things that were practically one millimeter from the floor.
Then Finn found Amanda, she told Finn that all the cold and everything that happened when he was trying to get the Stonecutters Quill (pen) was because of her, because of Jez. Amanda wanted to tell him the truth but then like an act of magic she shuddered. Finn started to understand this whole thing. Jezebel in the Bible meant evil...They saw Jez with a very tall woman talking to her and pointing at them. Now all make sense. Jez was a witch, Maleficent's daughter. Then Finn, Philby and Maybeck went inside a battlement and they could see how the jail cells were all refurbished and then is when they found out that the Overtakers were going to take over and there is were they would lock the employees so they can't get out. Then Maleficent appeared and they felt that extreme cold all over their bodies. Maleficent was not alone, she was with Jez, she let Philby and Maybeck leave because they didn't had what she was looking for. Finn had it, Finn had the pen. They were able to scape but they knew she wouldn't give up without that pen.
They ask for Wayne's help. They elaborated a plan that will take place the next morning at the park, as normal kids not holograms because if they Cross over then Maleficent will be waiting for them so whatever they had to do, they had to do it during the day because there is when Maleficent is weak and doesn't have powers.. Amanda was part of the plan.
The plan consisted that they will all look like employees from the park and will go to the building were all the trash is transported by underground and will try to find Maleficent.
They went to the office were is located the control center and there is where they were able to find Maleficent and set her a tramp. She got furious, violent and more powerful. She wanted the Stonecutters Quill and she would do anything to get it.
Finn found Jez, she started attacking him, people thought it was a show but it wasn't. Suddenly Finn felt again that freezing cold but he managed to handle it and attack Jez. Then Jez met eyes with Finn and she said Finn just set her free. She turned into a girl with totally different hair color, and her skin was more colorful and her eyes more beautiful and then is when he realize, she looked exactly as Amanda, they were twins! Amanda was trying to save her from Maleficent. Now they managed to punished Maleficent and solve the fable. No they weren't only the hosts, now they were a team, now they were friends.

When I read this I just could not believe it. That could never come up to my head, it was completely unexpected. I read this and I thought, Jez is evil, Jez is not a human she has always been a witch. But is that what she really wanted? Is that what she asked for? After finishing this book I could completely understand everything that happened, she was Maleficent's prisoner and the book never confirmed that Jez was actually Maleficent's daughter but we do know that he is Amanda's twin sister.  And Amanda the only she wanted was to get her sister back and I do believe that is a super humble act and I could connect with that because my sister and I are really close and I would not stand looking at her and she is not her, she is a completely different person and I would do anything just to get her back.

"I can't believe it." As her eyes met Finns, she cried out, "Im....free!"
"Free from what?" Finn wondered.
"You did it!" Jez said to Finn, her eyes bright, her voice excited. "No more cold, no more Maleficent. You freed me!"...Amanda's face fill with light with an expression of joy Finn had never seen. Tears filled her eyes...They were sisters, twin perhaps, not identical but close to it..."Is Jez who I think she is?" "Jess not Jez, not anymore. How can we ever thank you?"

This was even more unexpected because I thought Amanda was related to Walt Disney but at the end she was only trying to save her sister that was only a victim. Now my question is free from what? I wonder exactly the same as Finn. I can infer that Maleficent turn her into a witch or both Amanda and Jess are witches but good witches and Maleficent wanted to raise someone and turn her into what she is now. But I can't know if my inferences are correct because the book never actually told us.








Final Thoughts

Finally The Kingdom Keepers is an amazing book that is so fun and interesting that you just one to keep reading and reading and can't wait for what happens next. It has teach me a lot of things such as taking risks and believing in yourself and most importantly trust. The hosts took the risk of fighting against the most powerful witch in the whole world just to be able to save Magic Kingdom and even thought they were only kids they could manage to find their inner strength and believe in themselves. Most importantly they learn how to trust each other and work as a team and it worked. I really am looking forward to read the next book and be able to find an answer to all my questions!

MY FIRST PEN

Summary 

With Maybeck still asleep and crossed over Finn was very worry and ready to get him back. Finn trust Amanda and she knew what he did each night, one day riding their bikes Finn and Amanda were taking about rhymes and she said that rhymes is a sign of witches, then he felt a familiar cold, the one he usually gets when there is an Overtaker any near and suddenly Amanda told him to ride as fast as he could and then she shouted what sounded like a foreign language. Now Finn started to question who Amanda was. Then Finn was back at the park with Philby, they wanted to get Maybeck back so they hurry for Wayne's help. Wayne told them that Maleficent had everything to do about what was going on and besides Maleficent there were so many other Overtakers such as the pirates. Wayne told them were they should look to find Maybeck which would be a place with a lot of noise that no one could listen to Maybeck´s screams. They went to Space Mountain and with this theme about being an hologram they could pass through walls and thats how they found Maybeck. 

The next step for them and one of the clues of the Stonecutters Quill was wind. Charlene and Willa went to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh which is were there was a song that said “Happy winds day”. They had their 3-D glasses to see if they could find any clue or letter. They found a letter then something extremely weird happen during the ride, the boat they were on started rising and they almost drown. The next day in their virtual chat room they discuss everything that happen and tried to find a significance to the letters they found, but nothing logical came out. 

That night Finns mother was very very worried about Finn clothes and how was it possible that he wake up with his clothes being so dirty? He felt obligated to tell he the truth but she did not believe him. 

Philby and Finn met at the park once again and decided they will look for the last clues of Stonecutters Quill which was stone, so they head to Thunder Mountain were there was many rocks. They wore their 3-D glasses and were able to find a clue but along the way a HUGE t-rex started chasing them but they were able to scape. Now they had all the letters, it was time to find the meaning. All the letters started to rearrange by themselves and it said “MY FIRST PEN”, which meant Walt Disney's first pen, that was the answer to the fable. They went to Wayne with the hope that this traveling to Disney thing will be over, but it would not, now they needed to find the pen in one of Walt Disneys offices before the Overtakers did, that was the key. 

The hosts elaborated a plan to get that pen. One day in the monorail they all met with Amanda, it was a coincidence she told them that Jez has been following them and Amanda has being following Jez. 

Amanda helped Finn get to Walt Disney office without getting caught by the guards. He got the pen but again he felt that cold and it was pulling him to a door, then the guards came, they caught him. 

When running he saw a girl standing, whoever she was she told the guards were he was, Finn faced her and it was Amanda. He couldn't believe it, she betrayed him, who was Amanda? Amanda had tears in her eyes and told Finn it wasn't like that, but Finn will never be able to forgive her.

When I thought about The Stonecutters Quill I thought that when they solved the fable it would be something huge. Now I am wondering, why a pen? But then I think about how Walt Disney was a dreamer and a story teller and about the message how the small things can turn out to be the biggest ones. Walt Disney created so many stories and characters that a simple pen could actually turn out to be the key. But how will a simple pen destroy the Overtakers. 

“You?” he said again, desperate for an explanation.

“You cause the cold?”

“You're the one?” he gasped in disbelief hating her for all her lies…Finn couldn't get a word out, his chest tied, his fists clenched. 

“Finn, please. You've got this wrong”…”There is so much to explain. But not here”

“Not anywhere!” he fired up. “Not ever!”

Amanda hides so many things from Finn that he is actually right about not trusting her. But maybe Amanda actually is helping the Overtakers or she is doing something else, maybe she is not the enemy because she wants to explain things. I predict that Amanda is actually helping the hosts and she is not just someone ordinary. I think she may be related to Walt Disney, maybe Walt Disney is his descendant. 

Final Thoughts

The Kingdom Keepers so far is actually a pretty good book, actually an amazing. Unexpected things happen such as the pen and the issue with Amanda. So many questions raise again and I cant wait to see what happens next. So far Finn as a leader has behaved incredibly amazing has analyze and have very thoughtful ideas with the help of Philby and the other hosts. For only being a pair of kids and being able to solve this fable is really shocking and actually quite interesting and amazing. I predict that Finn and Amanda will meet again but Finn would not want even to look at her but she will give him fair explanation of what is going on. Maybe she is on their side and not the Overtakers. I think Finn and Amanda are liking each other and Finn is not only md but hurt because of how much he loves her.

Summary

Finn met a girl named Jez, who really caught his attention, he kind of felt for her while Amanda was really mad about it and not only that but also the idea that Finn wasn't telling her everything.
The hosts discussed of the really shocking time they just passed which was being right in front of a which, Maleficent. The hosts started to search for clues of what they could find about the elements of the story (sun, cloud, wind and stone) but they thought that what they are looking for won't appear in the outside world so they decided to look for clues in the park and arrange to meet at the park. Once in the park they decided they would meet at Small World ride because in that attraction is where the biggest sun in Magic Kingdom was located and from the theme song they could hear the lyrics related to the sun which was, "there is just one moon and one golden sun". Then they could see that once they were not looking the dolls started to move and walk away from their position and started chasing them. They rowed as hard as they could but the dolls were starting to grow in number, they didn't know what to do. Finn then started to sing along with the lyrics of Small World, "there is just one moon and one golden sun and a smile means friendship to everyone." Thats how Finn realize that if they all smile the dolls would not attack them, and it worked. The next day standing on the street Amanda and Finn were chatting and then they saw Maybeck, they continued chatting and then is when Finn saw an older woman at the other side of the street, with gloves and a lot, a lot of make up, she was wearing winter clothes in a hot day, why? He told Maybeck to check it out, it was kind of suspicious. Then Finn thought only she would wear that much of make up and those clothes if she had something to hide like her skin, it can be her green skin, and then the woman got in a car a ride as fast as she could. That night they agreed to meet at the park again, Finn thought that now they could see things different if they wear 3D glasses and look carefully at every attraction they went through. Finn and Philby went to Splash Mountain because that was the ride that had numerous clouds. They look carefully and realize that at the largest drop something would go wrong and they could crash, but at the longest drop Finn saw in a cloud the letter F M E and suddenly they kind of transport themselves like they were able to control their half hologram and half human form.

They run to meet the others but Maybeck was not there. The hosts didn't know what to do, they had to be careful that they would not get caught by any guard and Maybeck got caught so they decided to go to the secret doors of the Cinderella Castle they were known as the VMK.
Once in the Castle they heard the voice of a woman, it was Maleficent. They kind of turn invisible and were able to scape. The next day they went to visit Maybeck, but he was asleep, trap in Magic Kingdom he still was crossed over.

This quote says a lot about the Overtakers. Is it possible that Maleficent was able to get out from the park? How? If that was really her, what could the other Overtakers do? Do they have an outside help?

"Now, Finn Whitman,  you shall deal with me," the witch said, casting an arc of sand inside..."We've got to leave."Finn hardly heard any of this. He was not thinking of the water, nor the crow, nor the eel. He was, instead thinking only this one thing, over and over, She knew my name. She knew my name."

Since Finn is the leader of the hosts maybe the Overtakers could have set him as a target. But how did Maleficent find out about the hosts and most importantly how did she find them and worst and how does she knows Finns name? I could guess that she has something to do with Maybeck gone missing. Where is Wayne in all this trouble?

Final Thoughts

So far The Kingdom Keepers is an incredibly exciting book with lots of suspense and questions that need to be answer. I am really curious to know what exactly happen to Maybeck and how could Maleficent travel to the outside world if she did. What comes to my head when I read this previous chapters was what Wayne said to the hosts about the Overtakes which was that the Overtakers couldn't find out about the hosts. The hosts needed to stop them before they could stop the hosts. I do believe that in the next chapters is possible that now they are gonna face a real battle because is pretty obvious that the Overtakers already know about them, but what do they know? I can also predict that maybe the people that got Maybeck won't let him go so the hosts will have to find out as quickly as they can what do sun, cloud, wind and stone means in order to find why its name is Stonecutters Quill.
